I'm Angie, the creative force behind AngiesHappyHobby and I simply wanted to drop in and extend a warm hello to all of you, my cherished community, while also sharing a glimpse into my creative journey.
About a decade ago, my path into crafting began as a response to a health challenge that prevented me from pursuing traditional work avenues. Initially, I delved into card-making, primarily exploring stamping techniques and assembling kits with a friend.
However, everything changed when my Aunt, a beacon of inspiration in my life, introduced me to the world of die-cutting. Captivated by its possibilities, I swiftly acquired a die-cutting machine, and before long, my collection of dies surpassed my stamp inventory.
Over the years, I've ventured into various crafts, from beadwork and jewellery making to wirework, candle crafting, and embellishing bottles with lights, even participating in craft fairs to showcase and sell my creations.
Then, in January 2020, during a post-Christmas visit, my Aunt unveiled her creations featuring Lavinia Stamps, reigniting my passion for stamping. This reintroduction not only introduced me to the exquisite world of Lavinia Stamps but also to a myriad of inks, brushes, micas, and other delightful tools that elevate card-making to an art form. Thus, I rediscovered my niche.
As my skills developed, a friend and I launched a YouTube channel, where I shared tutorials and demonstrations with the ever-growing community of followers and admirers of my work. Additionally, we established an Etsy shop, offering not only my cards and artwork but also a variety of handcrafted items accumulated over the years, including my newfound passion for pottery.
With each new discovery and stamp added to my collection, my craft flourished, eventually catching the eye of an International company that invited me to join their design team.
My latest endeavour, amidst managing this shop, Etsy and a YouTube channel, involves designing and producing mylar stencils. Originally crafted for personal use, these stencils quickly gained popularity among my followers and are now available for purchase in our shop.
So here I am, immersed in the joy of crafting, consistently busy with what I love most—creating beauty with my hands.
